GCF support to collaring the endangered giraffe of Niger

The GCF in collaration with other organisations are off to Niger from the 5-12 February to help provide technical assistance and financial support in the colalring of eight giraffe. Working closely with the conservation scientist and GCF Research Associate Jean-Patrick (JP) Suraud, GCF has assembled a team of folks to be on the ground to help.

We hope that you can all follow the event through the blog - the warm up, all the trials and tribulations on the ground, and of course the excitement in only the second ever GPS Satelitte collaring of giraffe!

As a snippet to the event, have a read of the below news story just published - it is in French but a great news piece!
